GNU ARM Toolchain : Eclipse CDT Plugin

Here are the steps of installing the CDT Managed Build Extension for GNU ARM Toolchains on Windows 8.

  1. Help->Install New Software...
  2. In "Install" window, click Add... button at the end of the "Work with:" item.
  3. In "Add Repository" window, type in "http://gnuarmeclipse.livius.net/blog/downloads/" url into the text box of the "Location". The text box for the "Name:" can be empty.

  4. We can check the input by clicking the "Available Software Sites" Preferences:

  5. Then, "Select All"

    Install_available_software.png

  6. Then, "Next"

    Install_Detail.png

    Hit "Finish"

  7. Then, we need restart Eclipse.
  8. Open "New Project..."->"C++ Project"
    If we select "Empty Project" under "ARM Cross Target Applciation", we can see the list of "ARM Windows GCC" options.
