Eclipse Maven Plugin - 2020

This will be very brief tutorial. We'll install Maven 3 plugin and then create an empty Maven Project on Ubuntu 14.04 system.

As we can see from the picture below, Maven is the most widely used build tool in Java:

M2Eclipse provides tight integration for Apache Maven into the Eclipse IDE.

m2e provides comprehensive Maven integration for Eclipse. We can use m2e to manage both simple and multi-module Maven projects, execute Maven builds via the Eclipse interface, and interact with Maven repositories. m2e makes development easier by integrating data from a project's Object Model with Eclipse IDE features.

Go to https://www.eclipse.org/users/.

Drop the icon for Maven into Eclipse workspace, then we'll have the following:

Or from Top menu, Help=>Eclipse Marketplace. Search for Maven, and then install it.

File=>New=>Other...

Click on "Finish", then we can from see empty webap has been created in our workspace:
